Webinar resource
On 5 November 2024, NHS Resolution’s Safety and Learning team, in collaboration with legal firms Capsticks, Clyde & Co and Kennedys, hosted a virtual forum on digital innovation in healthcare.
The speakers shared useful insights on their transformation journeys using digital innovation and automation, legal updates on the use of Artificial Intelligence and the importance of embedding a just and learning culture in NHS trusts.
The recording will be of interest to those working within digital transformation and those interested in the issues of health care access, legal services and improving patient safety.
Reflecting on the event, Caroline Latham Parker, Associate Safety and Learning Lead for the South said:
Failures and delays in diagnosis and treatment are commonly seen within clinical claims. Access to a timely assessment is an essential element to improve patient safety outcomes. During the webinar the digital innovation team at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust shared how their work has enabled women and pregnant people to attain an appointment within an hour, and it has saved 17,610 administration hours per year for the trust. This has allowed the administration team to focus on supporting clinical teams in other areas of work to support frontline clinical care. We encourage you to watch the recording to hear more from our great speakers.
