The Safety & Learning Team hosted the Midlands & East Region Members Networking Forum on Tuesday 21st January 2025.
The meeting was chaired by Henrietta James-Hill, Associate Safety and Learning lead for Midlands and East region.
We were joined by Amuthan Ramakrishnalal, Senior EN Case Manager and Cordelia Yarborough, Obstetric Fellow NHS Resolution’s Early Notification(EN) Scheme who shared a comprehensive introduction to the EN scheme from a legal and clinical perspective.
Bridget Dack, Maternity Incentive Scheme Clinical Lead and Selina Dubison, Maternity Incentive Scheme Associate who gave a presentation on the Maternity Incentive Scheme (MIS) and an overview of the MIS support and presentation offer to Boards and Trusts to improve maternity safety.
Lastly, we were joined by Sian Brown, Partner and Kelly Buckley, Partner at Browne Jacobson, who discussed consent, translation and shared case studies to highlight how inequality to accessible information may result in claims.
