Joanne is an academic developer from the University of Portsmouth and has been a dedicated advocate for the development of undergraduate Dental Care Professionals since 2006. She completed her doctoral thesis on the use and relevance of reflective practice in undergraduate dental education in 2017 and holds a Master’s degree in Learning and Teaching.
Joanne is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a range of educational positions, including Education Associate for the General Dental Council and Lead Assessor for the Office for Students. Additionally, Joanne serves as a General Dental Council Registration Advisor and Fitness to Practise Panellist for the Dental Professionals Hearing Service.
