Claims Management events
Feedback from our customer survey has shown that members are keen to have more interaction with our claims management team. We have organised regional face-to-face engagements, to introduce the membership charter and meet colleagues from NHS Resolution. This forum is aimed at legal services representatives at trusts, clinical commissioning groups, ambulance trusts and private hospitals. Please keep a look out on the website for updates on these events.
Regional Keeping patients and your workforce safe events
Teams from across NHS Resolution are working together with colleagues at NHS England and NHS Improvement to deliver seven regional workshops on ‘Keeping patients and your workforce safe’. These events allow us to show case the breadth of NHS Resolution’s offer to primary care providers and commissioners including colleagues from primary care networks, clinical commissioning groups, NHS England, GP federations and general practice.
The first event was held in Taunton in September. Events for the South East, London, Midlands and East of England are scheduled to take place over the next two months whilst the events for the north regions will take place in the New Year.
Sharing best practice for safer births
We are delighted to invite you to our national conference on 5 December. It is focused on promoting safer maternity care. Key topics include the Early Notification report, maternity incentive scheme, data sharing, and research on maternity care. Likely delegates will include those in clinical leadership roles such as heads of midwifery and clinical obstetric directors.
Safety and Learning regional events
Our regional events connect and support our members with the aim of sharing their learning around specific clinical topics and/or concerns. They focus on exchanging ideas to reduce risk, improving support for staff and suggestions for service improvements.
In London, our event Learning from deaths: trust insights hosted by Guys and St Thomas’s NHS Trust, in the presence of a valued senior coroner, brought together 33 different London trust senior representatives, several CCGs, 12 outer London trusts, third sector representatives and colleagues from NHS England and NHS Improvement.
A combination of presentations, expert panel and small interactive topical discussions helped share updates, learning, challenges and personal insights.
Our recent publications were shared at the event and we trialled some forthcoming videos to support those involved in the inquest process. If you would like to receive notifications about future events please let us know via: safety@resolution.nhs.uk
