On Wednesday 2 October 2024, in collaboration with Bevan Brittan and DAC Beachcroft, we held a regional maternity event for the South West in Taunton, ‘Collaboration for safer and sustainable maternity care’.
This event supports our third strategic priority ‘Collaborate to improve maternity outcomes’
We were joined by delegates and representatives from a number of members and Local Maternity and Neonatal Systems, all of whom have a keen an interest in improving maternity safety.
Speakers represented a range of maternity professionals from across the South West Maternity services and provided the following areas of presentations:
- Non-early notification criteria maternity claims
- Early notification case themes
- Net Zero – Upscaling the hypertension pathway in maternity outpatient services
- The Maternity (& Perinatal) Incentive Scheme
- Informed Consent Communication and Culture within a maternity unit
- Consent for intrapartum procedures and experience of this
The event received excellent ratings for both programme design and content, with 100% of attendees stating they would recommend it to a colleague.
