Nick is a pharmacist who trained at Nottingham University and completed a Masters degree at Aston University exploring how to teach people with asthma about their treatment.

He spent a large part of his career as a hospital pharmacist including many years as Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Nick has had an interest in research and education and training since his pre-registration training and has a postgraduate certificate in Teaching and Learning for Health Professionals from Bristol University.

For the past eight years he has worked for the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE), initially as an educational supervisor, and since 2018 as part of the lead team for their national training pathways in primary care.

Nick is a trained coach and has many years of experience coaching and mentoring colleagues and various healthcare professionals. While at CPPE he helped to develop the Practitioners requiring additional support programme. More recently he developed the pathway exemption and equivalence process, helping pharmacy professionals demonstrate how their previous knowledge, skills and experience match the requirements of the training pathway.
