We are exhibiting at key external conferences in 2025, providing a valuable opportunity to meet with our members and key stakeholders and supporting the delivery of our newly published corporate strategy. Upcoming conferences include:
- Health Service Journal (HSJ) Patient Safety Congress, Manchester Central Convention Complex, 15–16 September
- Baby Lifeline’s National Maternity Safety Conference, Hilton Metropole Hotel Birmingham, 25 September
- Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Conference, ICC Wales, 9–10 October
We have so far travelled to Birmingham and Liverpool to exhibit at the RCM and RCN conferences and most recently, London, to attend RCOG World Congress. We engaged with hundreds of delegates at these events, highlighting how our resources can be utilised to support improvements to safety in maternity and neonatal services. This included many insightful conversations with delegates on our Maternity Incentive (MIS) and Early Notification (EN) schemes.

I had the privilege to attend this year’s RCM conference in Birmingham with colleagues from the MIS, EN and Corporate Affairs team at NHSR. The event gave us the opportunity to showcase what the Safety and Learning teams do best, engaging with our members and highlighting all the fabulous resources we produce.
We were able to speak to lots of delegates, including many student midwives who had not heard of NHSR. The Safety and Learning team are in the process of piloting speaking to universities about what they offer and we were able to circulate this to both the students and midwifery lecturers who visited our stand, opening up more opportunities to network and ultimately share learning from claims.
