NHS Resolution has announced the appointment of Sara Pollock as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective March 31, 2025. Sara succeeds Joanne Evans, who will retire in April after serving nearly a decade with the organisation.
Sara brings 20 years of extensive financial leadership experience across a range of sectors to the role. A chartered management accountant, she has served as NHS Resolution’s Deputy Director of Finance since 2018, where she has led significant improvements to NHS Resolution’s finance function, including the implementation of a Finance Business Partnering team and strengthening cross-organisational collaboration.
Prior to joining NHS Resolution, Sara held various senior finance and transformation roles at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust for five years. In her current role, she has played a crucial part in modernising NHS Resolution’s financial operations, particularly through her leadership of the finance aspects of the Core Systems Programme.

The appointment follows a comprehensive external recruitment process and demonstrates NHS Resolution’s commitment to maintaining strong financial leadership as it continues to deliver its strategic objectives in supporting the NHS.
Sara Pollock will assume her new position as CFO and join NHS Resolution’s Board at the end of March 2025.
