2021 Scorecards launch

Date published:

Our 2021 Claims scorecards were launched on 14 September and are available to members via our extranet. The individual scorecards allows our members to view both clinical and non-clinical claims, by type and cost.

The scorecards play a pivotal role in allowing NHS trusts and independent sector providers to review their up-to-date claims record. Such reviews can then be used to target interventions to improve patient safety. As an interactive tool in an excel format, the scorecards are easily accessible.

This year the cards have been refined so that it is easier to isolate individual specialities in order to view their trends and claims. This makes it easier to share relevant information with clinicians within specific specialities.

A guide to using this new feature, and the scorecards generally, can be found on the extranet, as can a unique PDF file to share with speciality staff.

Scorecards are available via a dedicated page on NHS Resolution’s extranet. This ensures that each member can:

  • access only their own scorecards via their existing extranet login credentials; and
  • authorise who in their organisation may access the scorecards via the extranet.

Please check that all staff members who need access to our extranet have current passwords. We recommend that they should include, where appropriate:

  • Chief executive;
  • Director of finance;
  • Director of nursing;
  • Medical director;
  • Head of legal department; and
  • Claims team.

Please contact our IT Service Desk to request a new or replacement password to access the extranet, if required via: servicedesk@resolution.nhs.uk
